Tando Creative ~ Goes metallic

Happy weekend!

Hi, it's my turn to share a creation with you today over on the [Tando Creative] blog.

This weeks theme is metallic..

I've taken inspiration from the changing seasons.. the [Spoonful of GOLD DUST] encrusted glitter and flakes by Stampendous adds the perfect golden/metallic sparkle I was looking for my [Straight edged large arch] although it's been really mild this week in the North West of England the leaves are falling!

I hope you like my decorated arch. For full details please pop over to the Tando Creative blog to see how this arch came together [HERE] along with lots more inspiration from the Design Team.

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Happy Autumn/Fall if you are in the northern hemisphere.

Tando Creative meets Stampendous!

Hi Gez here, delighted to be sharing a creation with you today using the [Straight edged arch]

Arches - Straight edged small

I created a background by collaging random pieces of paper on to the chipboard arch adding thin layers of acrylic paint after stamping and embossing the arch with the gorgeous [Cityscape] stamp designed by mixed media artist Nathalie Kalbach.

To create the stars I used the [Hippy Chick Mask] by Andy Skinner

A Skinner Stencil/Mask - Hippy Chick

by first applying a thick layer of texture paste then a layer of  [Frantage Jewel Kit: Silver]

Frantage Jewel Kit: SILVER

 Oh my goodness, how yummy!

The stars were then outlined with a black watercolour pencil to add depth. I hope you like my project. Thank you for looking and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

If you would like to call over to the [Tando Creative]
blog for full hop details, today is day 1.

Tando Creative ~ Packaging

I am delighted to be sharing a project with you today over on the [Tando Creative] blog using packaging.

Oh my goodness, this was sooooooo much !

I used the black backing card that comes with Andy Skinner's [Burning Rubber Mask]

I folded the card and made an accordian book.

Then I decorated the cover by first painting a background with acrylic paints and then painting a bird and branch from the [Mini pack of Birds and Branches]

Mini pack of Birds and Branches

One coat of acrylic paint and NO Gesso required!

  SO CUTE! ♥♥

Surprising what you can do with a piece of packaging!

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Wishing you a lovely Sunday ♥

Tando Creative ~ July Colour Challenge

I am delighted to sharing a creation with you today for the colour theme this month over at the [Tando Creative] blog.

What lovely colours.. I've actually muted them down with white Gesso and love the effect ♥

For this creation I am working on one 80mm x 116mm [Mixed Media Boards]. Once the background was completely dried I stamped and embossed the Cityscape stamp by Stampendous onto the board and lightly coloured in some of the buildings. The sentiment is computer generated.

The heart embellishment was made using one of the hearts from the [Grab Bag of Hearts] painted blue then decorated with the oh, so WONDERFUL White [Frantage Jewel Kit] Once dry a thick layer of crackle enamel was added.. Bliss!

I am really pleased with how this mixed media project turned out! Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Have a wonderful weekend. Gez ♥

Anything Goes @ Tando Creative!

What a treat this week to work with the beautiful long tags and gorgeous NEW to Tando, Stampendous stamps.

I painted a background using acrylic paints onto one of the [Long Tags]

Set of 5 Long Tags
The tag was also sprayed with a clear texture spray to add some interest! Then simply stamped with a gorgeous cityscape stamp from Stampendous coming soon to Tando.

I was going to add the sentiment, Find joy in the journey, but I really didn't want to cover up any of the stamp details.

I've been doing a lot of travelling since the start of the year and one of the lovely distractions is to look at all the beautiful architecture even in cities beauty can be found :)

This stamp is just GORGEOUS ♥

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Tando Creative June colours

What a treat this week to work with the beautiful June colours.

Aren't these colours beautiful. They remind me of the Mediterranean!

I decided I would make a desk tidy using the beautiful summery colours and some of the mixed media boards available from the [Retail Shop]. A great way to keep all the little paper scraps hanging around my desk safe.

I used a pack of the [74mm x 138mm Mixed Media boards] for my desk tidy.

Mixed Media Boards 74mm x 138mm

Each of the boards were covered in tape to hold the side panels together after gluing, a bit haphazard to add some texture and then painted with Gesso and acrylic paints along with some of the chipboard hearts from the [Grab Bag]

Grab Bag of Hearts

and also, some of Tando's [Mini - Flowers]

Tando Mini's - Flowers

I used the larger heart from the grab bag to create a picture frame. I quite like how my desk tidy box turned out..

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance. I hope the sun is shining wherever you are..

Wishing you a lovely Sunday, Gez ♥

Tando Creative ~ Things with wings

It's my turn today to share something with wings for this weeks Designer challenge over at the [Tando Creative Blog]. Remember, you can join us for your chance to win a grab bag of Tando goodies.....

Here is a tag I decorated for the challenge..

I started with one of the blank [Long Tags] from the 5 pack. My first time working with one of these, they are a good thickness and definately won't buckle under heat or wet medias and the length is so awesome!

The background was created using anything laying around my desk, mostly paints, inks and a few pastels.

Texture paste was applied to the long tag through the [Letters] mask to add some dimension to the background.

Then the fun began decorating one of the large butterflies from the [Butterfly Grab Bag] Again, anything that was laying around my desk got thrown onto this lil guy! It is so sparkly in the sunshine!

 Too much fun!

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

  Happy Sunday, Gez ♥

This week over on the [Stampotique Designers] challenge blog the lovely and very talented [Sam Read] is challenging you to not use any black on your creation.

Here is a journal page I made for the challenge.

What makes you different... makes you beautiful ♥

A simple watercolour background stamped with [Oodles of Doodles] and [Mash up] using purple and orange StazOn ink pads.

[Florrie Doodle Dolly] was stamped directly onto the page also using purple ink and then stamped again onto some painted deli paper, fussy cut and added to Florrie! She reminds me of a little buttercup today!

Tando Creative ~ Anything Goes

I am delighted to be playing along with the 'Anything Goes' challenge this week over at the [Tando Creative] blog. It's always fun to get lost on a journal page and pull out a few paints and stencils, this was too much fun!

I laid the [Hippy CHick stencil] onto the page and drew around the outline of one of the girls with a black pencil then took a black ink pen and journaled over the top..

The stars were added to the page using texture paste through the stencil. Then I added a sentiment and doodled border.

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Each weeks challenge is open until the end of the month where one lucky entry will win a grab bag of Tando Goodies. I hope you can join in the fun.

Stampotique Designers Challenge #245 Circles

This week the lovely and talented Kristen Catalano would like you to include circles on your creation over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge blog.

Here is a card I made for the challenge, my circles in there being very subtle :)

Great challenge this week as always, I hope you can join in the fun!

I stamped [3 Daisies] three seperate times onto different coloured acrylic painted collage papers, fussy cut and added them to another copy of the stamped imaged using only a little glue in the centre of each flower so the petals are a little 3D and stand off the card.

[Abstract Foliage] was also stamped directly onto the background paper then the whole piece cut and mounted onto a blank white card along with the greeting [Dream in color]

A quick simple card!

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Stampotique Designers Challenge #243 Motherly Love

This week over at the [Stampotique Designers Challenge] blog it's all about  l o v e .. {Claudine Criner] is getting us in the mood to share some 'Motherly Love' and we also have a very talented Guest Designer joining us for May..

I struggled with this challenge initially as my beloved Mum passed sometime ago but she remains in my thoughts everyday, more so at the moment.. she loved flowers and always wanted her family to be happy.. so in memory of my Mum I have created something bright and cheerful ♥

The flowers were coloured using watercolour paints and coloured pencils, so much fun to let lose!

The edges of the card were distressed and mounted up onto more cardstock and the sentiment 'Be Happy' was stamped directly onto the patterned cardstock.

Thank you for calling, I hope you can join in the fun.

Also, on the challenge blog is a [Design Team Call]
you'll have to be quick if you haven't already seen the announcement as the closing date is the 9th of May, good luck to all. xx

Tando Creative May Colour Challenge

Happy May everyone!

I am delighted to be sharing a project over on the {Tando Creative} blog today using the colours for the May colour challenge.

How hard is it to photograph bunting !!

... but so much fun ♥

I decided to work with the [Elephant Bunting] for the challenge this week..

I can see lots of possibilities for these little cuties ♥♥

No need to prepare the chipboard I painted them with a pearlised acrylic paint and over coated them with a generous spritz of clear enamel.

The ears with painted with an acrylic paint and then embellished with Liquid Pearls on their ears and toes!

The spots on their tummys are from the [Champagne Bottle] Mask!

The only thing left to paint were the cute little eyes, I added a googly plastic eye for decoration. Then joined the elephants tail to trunk with jump rings!

I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them. You actually get eight elephants in the pack.. I decided to save two for future projects!

Each weeks challenge is open until the end of the month and you can link your entry [HERE]

Have a lovely Sunday.
